Grossenbacher Fun Run "Patch" Harness

We think this could be the only 'Velcro name patch' harness available in Australia that does not have a restrictive strap across the front of the chest and shoulders! The name patches may sit just a fraction over the top of the shoulders but but there is no compression action from the straps.

The Grossenbacher Fun Run "Patch" harness offers full freedom of movement for all activities. Due to the ergonomic design, the shoulder and elbow joints are unrestricted and the dog can move freely. Grossenbacher Fun Run Patch harnesses are made from one piece of lightweight fabric, so there are no seams. Grossenbacher uses high-quality, stable buckles that can withstand heavy loads.

A Velcro name patch can also be attached to this harness. THE HARNESS DOES NOT COME WITH A NAME PATCH INCLUDED. Patches shown in photo gallery are inspiration only.
For easy reference the sizes of the Velcro patch for each harness size is:
4XS: 10 x 3cm; 3XS: 12 x 3cm; XXS: 14 x 3.5cm; XS: 14 x 3.8cm; S: 14 x 4cm; M: 14 x 4cm; L: TBC.
(Ezydog custom Velcro patches are S: 10 x 3cm; M: 13 x 4cm; L: 15.5 x 5cm; patches are also available from Dog Friendly Co, on Etsy and many other places online.)

The Patch harness has two d-rings. For everyday use, it is recommended to attached the leash only to the back ring. If there is any tension on the leash and on the harness, this is distributed optimally on the dog's body when using the back ring. The sensitive neck area remains free and the spine feels no pressure.

If you would like to do close heel work or training, or you need your dog to be closer to you, using a double-ended lead the two lead clips can be attached one to the first ring (situated near the back of the neck) and one to the back ring.

We recommend using the ring near the back of the neck ONLY for training purposes or on a temporary basis. This is because if there is tension only on this ring at the back of the neck, the harness is potentially pulled upwards on the neck and could put pressure on the dog's trachea and other delicate areas.

Non-adjustable neck. Slides on easily over the head due do there being no metal or plastic buckles/sliders on the straps.

There is a handle on the back* (oriented front to back) so you can briefly grab it to hold onto your dog. (*Sizes 3XS and below have no handle.)

These harnesses run quite large so please consult the size chart; don't simply get a size small because that's what size usually fits your dog in other gear.

NB. Grossenbacher harnesses are sized by breed and weight, not by girth measurement. The best way to get the correct size for your dog is to come into the fitting studio and try them on. If you order online you may need to exchange if the first size you purchase isn't quite right.

The standard sizes we offer in the Patch harness are 3XS up to M. Other sizes (5XS to 3XL) can be ordered on request - please contact us if you would like to order a size that is not in the drop down list (see info below). Sometimes we may have sizes outside 3XS-M in stock. These are shown in the drop down size menu on this page. If in stock the variant will say "Add to Cart".

BACKORDERS

Backorders are available in our standard colour range as per the dropdown menu above. When you select size and colour, if backorders are available the button will change to read “Backorder”. Payment is taken at time of order. Backorders cannot be cancelled after they are placed/paid.

NB. Limited Edition colours are generally not available for backorder.

Backorders for Grossenbacher products usually ship to you in 7-8 weeks. All items are hand-made to order so there may be a longer wait on some products depending on where we are in the order cycle and the workload/holiday season in Switzerland.

Your order is sent when every product in your order is in stock and ready to be posted together. If you would like an in-stock item to be posted earlier, please place separate orders.

Backorders in our standard colour range are exchangeable.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Grossenbacher products come in a large range of custom colour combinations. The Fun Run “Patch” harness has many other colour options available – we are happy to do special orders for colours we don’t stock, however special orders are not returnable or exchangeable (except under Australian Consumer Law).

If possible, please ensure you know what size will fit by coming into the fitting studio and trying them on your dog so you are not disappointed when a custom order doesn't fit and can't be exchanged.

Special Orders are paid for in advance and are not refundable or cancellable. Once you confirm by email what you would like to order, you will receive a payment link that sends you straight to the checkout screen where you can check over your order and make payment. Only then will a special item be ordered in for you.
